Owner, Occupational Therapist, MNRI Core Specialist
Wichita
I began my career as a community health major for allied heath sciences at Texas A&M University and later received a Bachelors of Science in Occupational Therapy from the University of Texas Medical Branch Occupational Therapy School. I specialized in spinal cord injury at The Institute for Rehabilitation and Research and in pediatric burns at Shriners Burns Hospital for Children; I absolutely loved every moment of these transformative years in my life.
I married an incredible man and have four amazing children who are our treasures. It was through my own children and friends that I was led to step into occupational therapy primarily using the modality of Masgutova Neurosensory Motor Reflex Integration (MNRI). I began a fellowship of training through the MNRI Institute three years ago and became an MNRI Core Specialist in February 2019. I am passionate about working with and helping newborns, infants, children, and adults reach their maximum potential in areas of cognitive, emotional, and physical growth. My joy in my therapy is to bring about solutions by impacting all areas of the brain and lasting change that has brought hope and refreshed the spirits of those I serve. I am blessed by all of the amazing individuals I serve who may struggle academically, physically, and emotionally, those with neurodevelopmental disorders, autism, ADHD, sensory processing, dyslexia and learning challenges, emotional regulation, as well as other physical, emotional and cognitive challenges. It is a true blessing to see lives change as we work together in therapy and, it has changed me forever.
When I’m not doing MNRI therapy, I love time with my family and friends, gardening , outdoor adventures, running, Younglife, Capernaum YL, yoga, art, and all things beautiful that awaken my soul.
I’m incredibly thankful for PHW and my husband’s “larger than life” vision for helping others in our community. I never imagined when we opened our doors five and a half years ago that God would lay on my heart to step in as an occupational therapist in MNRI therapy. To work alongside Jeff and have a shared vision of restoring health and healing in others’ lives has been the unexpected blessing in my life.
Every day I am truly in awe of God’s grace and provision and healing touch in the lives of those I spend time with in therapy.
